Eirtech Aviation Services have been awarded an FAA STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) for the Honeywell CPDLC solution. This permits the installation of the Honeywell CMU Mark II+ unit, updating of related software and associated wiring changes in order to comply with the upcoming EASA CPDLC mandate (deadline 5th February 2020) in Europe and FAA NextGen requirements.
This FAA STC compliments the existing EASA STC and allows the company to offer customers dual release EASA & FAA STC for their aircraft.
This STC is applicable to the B737 series, specifically models: 737-600/-700, 737-8/-800, 737-900/-900ER. This solution will be of interest to airlines and aircraft leasing companies who have B737NG aircraft which are not yet compliant with the upcoming European CPDLC (Link 2000+) mandate or FAA NextGen requirements.
