Eirtech and Resonate Testing Collaborate to Support Passenger to Cargo Modification for COVID-19 Flights

Eirtech supports one of Europe's largest leading airlines to transport Personal Protective Equipment

Eirtech Aviation Services is delighted to support one of Europe’s largest leading airlines with a request to transport essential personal protective equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies in the cabin.  Eirtech, in conjunction with Resonate Testing Limited based in Newry, Co. Down and Coe’s Road, Co. Louth successfully carried out flammability tests relating to the installation of cargo bags within the cabin to allow the transportation to go ahead. 

Tom Mallon (Managing Director) of Resonate Testing says “It is fantastic to see the capability that exists on the Island of Ireland coming together to quickly and efficiently provide solutions that facilitate these flights.  We are delighted to have the opportunity to participate and help wherever we can”.

 Eirtech provided Part 21 engineering support to enable the transportation of the PPE and other vital medical supplies relating to the current Covid-19 crisis.
